After breakfast, or after lunch, we drive to Zanzibar Stone Town. Our
first stop will be the City Market where visitors have bought spices since
1904. We proceed to the old slave market on which stands the Anglican
Church built by Bishop Steers in 1874. The National Museum built in 1925
is our next stop before we proceed to Forodhani Gardens on which stands
the home of the Old British Consulate. It is here that the Body of Dr.
Livingstone was preserved before shipment to Britain. We then walk the
old stone Town narrow streets and stop at Livingstone House which was
built in 1866 and the ruins of Maruhubi Palace built in 1880. At the end
of the tour, we return to our hotel
