ZSTR 001:- THE SPICE TOUR (Half Day)

After breakfast or lunch, we drive to the famous Zanzibars spice Farms to discover why Zanzibar is called the "Spice Island". We are impressed by the large diversity of spices grown on the farms which include Cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, black pepper and nutmeg. Tropical fruits are also in abundance particularly bananas, Coconuts and pineapples. There are also plants such as perfume tree and lipstick tree which are rare elsewhere in East Africa.

We then proceed to Kibweni Palace built by the first Sultan of Zanzibar, Seyyid Said Bin Sultan for his wife Shehrzard who was a daughter of Fateh Ali, Shah of Persia.
